Junior Golf Academy

The Junior Golf Academy provides instruction to advance junior golfers through our 4 Level Program. Our Instructors teach to the principal that all strokes count and works through golf instruction from the inside-out. We begin our focus on the green and work our way out to the tee box. At each stage of instruction, we conduct an Ability Test to certify advancement to the next level. Completion of the program allows advancement into the Elite Academy program where we focus our students on advanced skills and provide individualized instruction designed to produce competitive golfers.

The Academy program is broken up into four 3-month blocks. All four blocks must be completed within a 2-year timespan (this allows students to participate in other endeavors and come back when it is convenient). The program starts on the first week of each calendar quarter. 

The program includes the following activites:

• Weekly Group Lessons
• Bi Weekly (every 2 weeks) Individual Lessons
• 1 Group 9-Hole Playing Lesson Per Quarter
• 1 Academy 18 Hole Competition Per Quarter
• Practice Instructions
• Jr. Ability Test

Note: Gig Harbor Golf Club is working with the Junior Golf Academy to provide special Junior Membership Pricing to allow academy students to work independently.

Junior Golf Camp

The GHGC Junior Golf Camp has been providing introduction to local golfers for over 35 years. This program is focused on teaching golf basics while having fun! The program is open to golfers aged 8 years and older.

Individual Lessons

Individual Lessons for Junior Golfers are targeted to more advanced golfers. These lessons are intened to "Tune Up" gofers preparing for upcoming seasons or to provide in-season coaching.
